It\u2019s\n an application that you can use to train your creativity or for your \nnext project idea. Create new stories using random conflicts, characters\n and scenarios. This is an app for you if you are creative, a \nsongwriter, novelist, filmmaker, indie videogame developer or a \nvideogame studio, poet, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It comes back from 2014 but was revamped to use the latest JS technologies and now it\u2019s been published to the Google Play Store [here]<\/a>. (Free version: https:\/\/stories.owsas.com<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The background<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ok,\n so when I was in the university attending my videogames course I got to\n this fantastic content given by my teacher about the different types of\n conflicts that might take place in my hero\u2019s story. So, I wondered, \nwhat if I mixed these stories with other things? like characters or \nscenarios? what could I generate from there?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\n was around 2014, at that moment I made a first draft in AngularJS, a \nframework for building web apps so popular at the moment and then it was\n publicly available\u2026 but due to so many things I got in the moment I had\n to put it down and it lived in my computer for some time, until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My decision: this app has to come back, I think it\u2019s useful for creators<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I\n love this project because for me it\u2019s a tool to train my creativity and\n due to the randomness it has, it can very easily propose me something \nI\u2019ve never thought of as a story, and in the process I have found \nstories that sound promising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Story\n Generator is an app that helps you training your creativity or for \ngetting an idea for your next project. It creates new stories by \nproviding random conflicts, characters and scenarios. It can be used by \nnovelists, songwriters, filmmakers, poets, designers, videogame studios,\n indie videogame developers and creative people in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just to show you one of the possible stories, take a look at \u201cThe new prince\u201d (title set by me):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now\n it would be your time to stop and think what could a prince be \nsearching for and what could he find in a small town? Here\u2019s what I came\n up with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n prince had to go incognito in this small town because his kingdom was \ninvaded and during the process, while sharing with the people of the \ntown, he makes new friends and rediscovers himself, what later helps him\n become a better king once the invasion was repelled.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The new version of the app was implemented using ionic 5 with React and it was deployed as a live PWA using the great service now.sh<\/a>.\n In the future I might write another post about how the app was \nimplemented technically speaking for the developers interested (if you \nare one and would like to see this, please comment in the comments \nsection).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
